Ashiana Humanitarian Network is proud to announce a series of workshops in 2025 that will support and empower local youth from refugee and humanitarian communities. The workshops are brought to you with the generous support of the City of Canning and the City of Stirling, where many community youth live and work. The

The aim of the workshops is to support young people from 16-25 years of age to learn about their rights and responsibilities in the law. It will allow young people to self-advocate and also to share their knowledge with their families and others in the community. By learning about what the law is and what legal rights and responsibilities are in Australia, as well as some of the service providers who young people can speak with to access support and information, young people can be empowered to thrive in Western Australia.

At Ashiana we also aim run our workshops in a way that ensures essential information can be received in a welcoming environment, where participants can be among peers in the community, where questions can be asked and stories shared, and language support and referrals can be provided as needed.
