We were so pleased to have the opportunity to thank some of our volunteers at a dinner on 26 May 2024 during National Volunteer Week, with the generous support of Volunteering WA and Lotterywest.
The dinner was held at Shesh Besh Restaurant in Leederville and allowed our hardworking volunteers to celebrate a great year and look forward to forthcoming events, including the continuation of our women’s workshops and community outreach work.
Any organisation that tries to make a difference in the community, particularly at the early stages, relies upon the commitment of its volunteers and their networks to build trust and understanding, and to support the community in reaching out for help. Our commitment to leadership by refugees and humanitarian entrants in setting priorities and carrying out our work is being noticed and welcomed by the community and much of this is due our founding members and volunteers.
We are excited for what the years ahead will hold and will continue to partner with our volunteers in supporting refugees and humanitarian entrants to find a peaceful home in Australia.
