Ashiana is pleased to partner with Amnesty International Human Rights Legal Group WA and Murdoch University in presenting a seminar addressing developments in refugee law in Australia. Legal practitioners are eligible for CPD points, as shown in the program, covering ethics and professional responsibility, professional skills and substantive law. The seminar will be held on Saturday, 23 March 2024.

Recent decisions of the High Court and legislative responses will be considered, as well as how to engage more effectively (and ethically) in working with clients from refugee and CALD backgrounds. Our panel of speakers include our directors, Dr Mary Nangrahary, Farid Popal and Robert Lindsay, who will be joined by Associate Professor Mary Anne Kenny from Murdoch University.

Lawyers, migration agents, clients and those with an interest in migration law and cross-cultural practice are welcome to attend.

While the seminar is free we also welcome donations to our organisation: Donate.

We hope you can join us.
